This is a clinical service hosted by NICS in collaboration with the ASPH Gynaecology Department, specifically for the removal of cervical polyps less than 2 cm with the base visible, to assist in reducing waiting time for appointment.

About The Service

This service is for patients aged 18 and above who require the removal of cervical polyps less than 2 cm with the base visible. It is hosted by NICS in collaboration with the ASPH Gynaecology Department to help reduce waiting times.

Patients are referred by their GP or practice nurse.

How It Works

The referral process for this service.

GP Or Nurse Referral

Your GP or practice nurse will refer you to the service if a cervical polyp removal is appropriate.

NICS Books Your Appointment

You will be contacted by NICS to arrange your appointment at St Peter's Hospital on a Saturday morning.

Procedure At The Clinic

The procedure is carried out at the NICS Acute Hub in collaboration with the ASPH Gynaecology Department.
